Hail, Chief

This comes a little late... Three wet nights late, to be precise. 17th Feb, 2008 was the night I took the oath as Old Monk Bijananda alongwith 8 other OMs, 2 Grand Nuns and of course, the Chief.

I can't described the exact feelings as the night proceeded, it became a bit hazy but I remembered feeling excited as my name was announced amidst the (pin-drop) silence. Well, it was a proud moment, of course, which XLer won't be proud to an OM?

The night was spent with the usual party but for a change, we were behind the counters wearing our brightest smiles. Serving, with pride, the best "spirits" of XL... Hmmm...

And oh, for the uninitiated, Old Monk (and Grand Nun, for ladies) is the title given to the members of the famed OMAXI.

P.S. I'm taking a huge risk of writing this post while still in XL in case some profs read this and announcing myself. But what's life without a little risk.
